Sign on Deckhand! Now is your chance.

Do you get energy from the wind in your hair? Looking for a job, but in a changing environment. In short, do you have what it takes to be a deckhand on European rivers? Then we would like to get you on board.

Fascinating work on the water

You work as a (incoming) deckhand in our  fleet. Of course, you don’t do this alone, but with experienced colleagues. Together with them, you ensure that the liquids we transport are delivered correctly and on time. You are also “chief ship maintenance”. In short: a lot of responsibilities, but also a lot of freedom. And we don’t even talk about the combination of work and leisure. We offer a week on / week off system (1-1, 2-2 or 3-3)

Just tick off:

  • You like to work and work well in a team.
  • “Do not wait, but act” is your motto.
  • You want to gain experience and complete training to make progress.
  • You know the safety regulations.

We offer you:

  • A good working atmosphere and a fun club of colleagues.
  • A good salary under Swiss and Luxemburg conditions.
  • A high-quality fleet.
  • A workplace with the most beautiful, constantly changing view.

Who are we?

Nice to meet you! We are Interstream Barging. One of the largest inland charters in Europe. We provide safe and sustainable transport of liquid chemicals and edible and mineral oils. We do this with more than 120 inland anchors, of which about 25 are in-house. About two hundred professionals work on these ships, ranging from light deckhand to captain. Around 65 specialists also work at our offices in Europe.
